I'm in the early stages of developing a mass multiplayer action video game, and am starting to get into the cost estimate / revenue side of the business plan to see what is feasible. Any advice is appreciated. This would be for cloud or dedicated servers. The good news is the game servers take extremely low disk usage or RAM. On the CPU side I'm still benchmarking it but let's leave that out of the equation for now. What I'm really worried about is bandwidth. The players will be getting tons of UDP traffic constantly. I've just started to price out scenarios, taking for example sustained 10 Gbit/second, which is 3240 TB/month.
